Hopeful House Numbers Within Feng Shui

A common question is asked when home owners are wondering about their house numbers.

Do they create harmony and balance within your Feng Shui?

Obviously, this is a complex question. Although, a house number standing alone causes no immediate threat to your Chi, when combined with a couple other aspects, you may find your life unbalanced.

The most peaceable numbers in Feng Shui are 1, 6, and 8. Come across the number 2 or 5 and you have permission to be cautious. Of course, having a house number with more auspicious numbers than not, is a good thing… but house number cannot always be decided.

When buying a home, the more crucial aspects lie in the outside area and location. These two details are much more important than just having a good house number. According to the Bagua, your home should face a well-suited direction for your life.

More things to consider about your home whether there are negative aspects nearby. A very harmonious location and a good house number will be the best to have. In addition, some even believe that your house number should correspond with your birthday.

So what if your house number is inauspicious? Well, you obviously can’t alter your house number but you can make changes outside the home to balance out the negativities. For instance, your can create a harmonious zone on your porch in order to counteract the house numbers. Also, be sure you don’t put the numbers on the wall or on the door of your home.

You can also keep out bad energy by creating positive chi movement. Take a good look at your home and those around you to seek improvement. For those looking into a brand new home, you may be able to choose your house number between two. If so, always pick the number that has 1, 6, or 8 in it. The numbers 2 and 5 are the worst and the rest are simply neutral.

For the lucky ones with feng shui friendly house numbers, you’re in a good position. Use the numbers to your advantage! Many believe that homes with the right house numbers sell faster.

Obviously, you also need to think about the annual star number when analyzing your house number. Every year the numbers alter positions and therefore mean different things in your life.  Consulting a chart on the annual numbers, based off of your home’s location is a great way to understand their meanings.

For protection around the home, use Fu dogs. These pups can be put in the yard if they’re larger or on the porch.

Be sure to buy two dogs and face them outward of the home’s entrance. These protectors will scare away bad luck around the home and keep it from getting into your house.

To promote properly moving Chi, put a wind chime on the porch. The chimes need to be hollow and have five rods. Also, the addition of a water feature will help to soak up all bad Chi (so be sure to clean it regularly). Birdbaths or a good fountain should do the trick.
Lastly, for those with a bad house number, don’t fret! It is just a number and you can live with it.

These simply tips will help curb the effects of a negative, Chi-diminishing house number, but don’t let it get you down!
